Here's a holiday worth celebrating: National Donut Day! And it's this Friday! For your eating pleasure, you will be glad to know that two major donut chains are stepping up to the plate to celebrate. (Too bad I decided I needed to start my diet this week...hmph!)
Dunkin' Donuts will be giving away a free donut with beverage purchase while supplies last. Visit the Dunkin' Donuts website to locate a store near you.
Krispy Kreme is also apparently giving away a free donut for each customer, and no purchase necessary on this one. I could not find an announcement directly on Krispy Kreme's website about this freebie, but have read reports on a number of other websites, including this one. To be safe, I'd phone ahead to make sure your store is participating.
