Local readers: HOT deal on New York strip on New Year's Eve!

 

 

On Thursday the 31st from 7am - 5pm ONLY, Summit Trading (Puyallup, WA) and Tukwila Trading (Tukwila, WA) will be having a 10 hour sale. One of the feature items is Beef Top Loin New York Strip for  $1.99! The meat will be sold boneless - whole in the bag, the butchers will be able to cut the steaks to your liking for free.

I have an "inside tip"  that the quality will be very good for the cost. For the best selection, head there early as stock is limited.  

If you are planning on going, be sure to go to their website. They always have a coupon good for a free item with purchase of $5 or more! Right now, it's a bag of frozen corn, but it expires today.  

Incidentally, I LOVE this store for great deals on meat and produce. This is where I found the deal on sirloin that I used for my freezer dinners the other day - it was just $1.59 a pound. 

  

Great turkey deal at Summit/Tukwila Trading through Tuesday

I've gotten a few requests for Thanksgiving food items, so believe me, I'm watching.

If you are a local reader, I found one such deal you might be interested in. It's happening at the Summit/Tukwila Trading stores from now through next Tuesday.

Here's how it works:

Purchase one 4-lb. Fletcher Black Forest Boneless Ham for $19.99 
Then, receive the following for FREE:

A Grade A Hen Turkey (up to 12 lbs)
5 lb bag Potatoes
Western Family Gravy Mix
Western Family Jumbo Biscuits
Western Family Kernel Corn or Cut Green Beans

But wait! You can also go to their home page and print off a coupon for a free can of mandarin oranges (it's good so long as your purchase is $5 or more).

Then, head to Albertsons for two Sara Lee pies and two Breyer's ice creams for about $5 total, and you've just about got an entire Thanksgiving feast for less than $30!    

Tide (50-oz) for $3.99 at Summit & Tukwila Trading

 

Through Tuesday, the smaller bottles of Tide (approx. 50 oz) are on sale at Summit and Tukwila Trading Stores (Western Washington) for $5.99 each. There are also "double coupons" in the weekly ad. Use the $1/1 ANY Tide coupons from the 9/27 P&G and you can snag these for $3.99 each. This is a very good price for Tide detergent!

AND, when you spend $5 or more, you can get a FREE 96-oz bleach with the printable coupon on the website! All you would need to do is buy two Tides and you'd be at your minimum.

Summit/Tukwila Trading deals: 10/7 - 10/13

 

Do any of my local readers know about and/or shop at these stores? If you've never been, consider checking it out. There is one on Canyon Road in Puyallup and one in Tukwila. While the bulk of their grocery items are overpriced (in my humble opinion), the prices on their meat and produce are just awesome. You may be inspired to let your Costco membership run out.

I got on their mailing list the last time I was at their Summit store and have been enjoying receiving their ads weekly at home. If I get reader interest, I may make this a regular feature on my blog. So please let me know. My goal would be to primarily focus on their meat and produce specials.

Produce Deals

Every Wednesday, select produce is on sale (one day only). The other thing to note is that most prices are obtained by purchasing 10 lbs or more. If that seems overwhelming, consider splitting with a friend, or using for batch cooking. I also *think* that the 10 lbs is mix and match, but you'd want to check with the store first. So unless otherwise noted, the produce deals below are 10 lbs or more.

I purchased ground beef a couple weeks ago and 10 lbs of it was in one giant bag. So be prepared to sort it later. In particular, I think the super lean ground beef and fresh chicken breast are excellent stock up prices!
